Nahide Konak specializes in the areas of methodology, globalization, social movements, and environmental sociology. She is currently working on a book called "Globalization, Gold Mining and Environmental Justice." Her research includes a series of articles and manuscripts on globalization, ecological justice, and grassroots struggles within global and U.S. contexts. She teaches undergraduate level courses in Principles of Sociology, Techniques of Sociological Research, and Classical Sociological Theory, as well as a graduate level course on globalization.
