The Department of Sociology invites applications for three full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor positions for Fall 2008.

—Position 1: Statistics and Research Methods (primarily quantitative but also qualitative).

—Position 2: Crime/Deviance.

—Position 3: Urban Sociology/Community Studies

For each position the substantive research area is open. Candidates with a productive research agenda leading to publications and research grants are particularly encouraged to apply. We are especially interested in candidates who can complement existing faculty and graduate student research.
